Dr Marise Subrayan is a vibrant Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialist, who manages all general obstetrics and gynaecology concerns and has further qualifications in the emerging field of Aesthetic Gynaecology.

Although she grew up in Durban, she moved to Gauteng where she completed both her medical degree and O&G specialisation through the University of Witwatersrand(WITS), and her Aesthetic Gynaecology training through the International Association of Aesthetic Gynaecology and Sexual Well-being(IAAGSW). She has been practicing O&G since 2013 and has gained a firm foundation due to her many years of training being predominately performed at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital(CHBAH).

Dr Subrayan has presented her research overseas in 2019, at the prestigious RCOG conference held in London, UK. She has a keen interest in continuing further research and has recently been involved in numerous COVID vaccine studies including those involving pregnant and breastfeeding patients.

The ethos of her practice is to encourage female empowerment through team-work, thus assisting women to make individualised, informed decisions about their physical, mental and sexual health. She has interests in hormonal disorders, sexual-dysfunction and high-risk pregnancies. Her practice is LGBTQ+ friendly, she collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to provide care for this under-serviced community.

During her free time, Dr Subrayan can be found cooking up a gourmet meal, catching up on the latest medical advancements or out enjoying a hike.
